Facebook and Twitter. The same?

Someone told me that they don’t see any reason to be on Twitter since they are on Facebook, and the two are the same.

In my experience, Twitter is nothing like Facebook.

Then I discovered why someone would think this.

The problem is the average people uses the official twitter web or app, and those experiences are a garbled mess of confusion; just like Facebook.
